Downtown LA Hotel is published in Never Built Los Angeles which explores the "what if" Los Angeles, investigating the values and untapped potential of a city still in search of itself. Featured are more than 100 visionary works that could have transformed both the physical reality and the collective perception of the metropolis.

XTEN recently finished a concept design for a mixed-use residential, creative office, restaurant and retail complex with garden courtyard and a rooftop pool terrace in Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles.

Work in Progress - Bird Streets Residence
XTEN has been commissioned to design a custom residence in the "bird streets" neighborhood of Hollywood Hills. The project is being developed as a series of planes which differentiate the private and public programs and also frame the panorama view from downtown to Century City.

Four Concrete Houses receive 2013 AIACC Annual Residential Design Award
Four Concrete Houses have received 2013 American Institute of Architects California Council Annual Residential Design Award. This project in the Trousdale area of Beverly Hills is conceived as a series of one story pavilions surrounding a central courtyard. The main living space in between the indoor garden and outdoor terrace connects the architecture and nature.

XTEN at MOCA’s “A New Sculpturalism”
Surfhouse and Nakahouse are both featured in the exhibition “A New Sculpturalism: Contemporary Architecture from Southern California” at MOCA’s Geffen Contemporary Los Angeles. The exhibition shows thirty eight major and emerging L.A. architecture offices’ projects over past twenty five year. As a part of Pacific Standard Time Presents initiated by Getty Museum, A New Sculpturalism runs from June 16th through September 16th.

Work in Progress - Alta Mura
Current Schematic Design for a project located high above the Pacific in the Palisades area of Los Angeles. The project's form and organization follow a curving site wall that follows the site topography. The building engages and pulls away from this wall, generating a series of indoor-outdoor spaces that open to panoramic views on one side and verdant gardens on another.
